Road Trip Diaries: "Beach Days:)"

While we were in Boston we went to the beach twice. The first time was okay, meaning our day was sort of ruined by a cold beach breeze that blew in and made us want to run inside and drink hot cocoa. But the second day! Was. Amazing!!! We spent six hours in the beach without even noticing the time passing by. The temperature was perfect, the water was perfect for cooling off, we had ice cream, and got artsy! :)

Revere Beach Sand Sculpture Event we just missed it:( We left about 3 days before it started but when we were there they were working on the first sculpture! Me and Mar took an extensively long walk just to go to the other side of the beach (from where we were stationed) and see the sculpture being made.

The first day we came to the beach we had the idea of building something out of the sand other than sand castle. We came up with a couch. A beach couch!  It would be big and sturdy and we pictured the couch becoming a monument and being preserved forever at the beach and people coming from all over just to take their picture on it. It ended up being a small couch that we sat on briefly to take a picture. The next time we came it was no where to be seen, lol.

The second time we went to the beach (the long day, with the hot sun and perfect weather)  we took our initial idea and were further inspired when we saw the sculpture of sand that was being built as part of the sand festival (the first day we went they had not started yet). After walking what felt like at least ten miles we found out that these sculptures were made with imported sand, they had hoses, tools, shovels and enormous buckets. Then I, particularly, felt small and unable. I had plastic shovels, original beach sand, sea water, and small beach castle buckets:/ But I prevailed, and was determined to make my OWN sand sculpture! Here it is:

and Adri's Art on the sand:)

Here is some more pictures of the beach:)

I just had to take a picture of the sand (shown above) it looked like it was mixed in with glitter!

Will write in again soon with more road trip diaries:)

Love,

Charlotte
